2 bottle gourds (lauki/dhudi/giya)
4 tbsp coconut butter (Dairy version: 4 tbsp butter or ghee)
2 cups of almond milk or coconut butter*
1 cup of honey
3 tsp of green cardamom powder
Instructions:
1. Wash the bottle gourds. Cut off the ends and chop the gourd in half. Scoop out the seeds and peel the skin.
2. Grate the whole bottle gourd by hand or by food processor.
3. Heat on low 4 tbsp of coconut butter in a pan.
4. Add the grated bottle gourd to the pan. Mix.
5. Add the almond milk and honey and stir.
6. Add three tsp of cardamom powder.
7. Put a lid on the pan and leave for 1/2 hour. Stir occasionally.
I like eating this halva with banana ice cream!
